The Silence of the Field
Nothing on the surface means nothing is growing. Galatians 6 reminds us that delay is not the end of a seed—good or evil.

A field can look empty for a long time.
The ground is quiet. Nothing has broken the surface. If you did not know better, you would say nothing was there.
But a farmer knows: silence is not the same as absence.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
A warning
We often mistake delayed consequence for escaped consequence. The harsh word, the hidden compromise, the good we withheld: because nothing happened, we assume nothing will. Time passes, and we forget what we planted.
God does not forget. Time does not destroy a seed. It only carries it closer to harvest.
And a comfort
The same law runs the other way. The prayer no one heard you pray. The faithfulness no one noticed. The quiet obedience in a season that felt wasted. These are not lost either.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
If you are tired of sowing good into ground that has not answered, the silence of the field is not God’s verdict. It is God’s timing.
A question to carry this week
What am I sowing today that I would not want to reap tomorrow? And what good seed have I stopped sowing because I could not see it growing?
