“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Lean Your Weight on God, Not on What You Can See
Solomon does not tell us to stop thinking. He tells us where not to put our weight.
Our understanding sees in part. It knows only what is in front of it. When we lean on it as though it were God, every closed door becomes a crisis and every delay becomes a verdict.
This week, notice the moments when you want an explanation before you obey. Those are the places where trust is being formed.
Carry it with you
- Monday: read Proverbs 3:1–12 slowly, once.
- Midweek: name one decision you are trying to control by understanding it fully first.
- By Sunday: pray the verse back to God, in your own words, about that decision.
